Cycling is a sport of tradition but also a sport for storytellers. This winter the Garda Bike Hotel team invites you to spend your Christmas Holidays cycling with us. As we wind down the year, we’ll not only finish 2021 on our bike, but also will spend time talking about how we all lived our cycling year, how we fared on Zwift or Strava, and share our favorite cycling adventures of 2021.
We will conquer 500 km between December 26 and December 31 as part of our prestigious Lake Garda Festive 500. Putting together the routes and distances will be our challenge. You only need to come hungry to challenge the winter and give it your all for the last rides of 2021. But we won’t stop there. Let’s also welcome 2022 with some rides.
On January 2, we honor Fausto Coppi with a ride around the olive and lemon filled banks of Lake Garda, just as the Champion did in the 1950’s.
And then we will continue to ride through January 5. Then and only then are we able to rest! As Coppi’s famous masseuse Cavanna told him, “we must sleep with our legs folded to the angle of the pedals, a towel under our back, and alone with our bike, to prepare for San Remo”. For we more mortals, this first week of January gives us the chance to get a head start on spring training and to return home with stories of how we challenged the winter on our bikes.
And if you are looking for a less challenging experience, don’t worry! As with all our Cycling holidays, this won’t be just about riding, but also about Italian Dolce Vita! After the effort on the bike, you can relax your body and soul between wine tastings and traditional Italian foods. And…of course, shorter rides are always available.
We have built this package for you with flexibility in mind. Your specific itinerary is totally up to you, and we will personalise your holiday to your liking!
